The Qatari news agency "QNA" reported that the meeting addressed "developments in the region and efforts to de-escalate tensions to enhance regional and international security and stability."
In contrast, the semi-official Iranian news agency "Tasnim" quoted Momeni as saying, after his meeting with the Emir of Qatar, that the discussions were "good and constructive," and that they addressed "issues of concern to both countries." The Iranian Interior Minister added that the delegation raised during the meeting the "messages and topics" that Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian emphasized should be discussed, noting that they "were well received and appreciated by the Emir of Qatar."
Momeni indicated that the Emir of Qatar also raised a number of topics, and there was an exchange of views and suggestions regarding developments in the region. Regarding bilateral relations, Momeni described the relations between Iran and Qatar as "good, brotherly, and constructive."
The Iranian Interior Minister also revealed an "agreement to form a joint working team between the interior ministries of Iran and Qatar to follow up on the decisions reached during recent meetings." Momeni explained that he also held a "detailed, lengthy, and constructive" meeting with the Qatari Interior Minister, noting that the joint working team will include representatives from both ministries to follow up on the decisions and agreements that have been reached.
The Iranian Interior Minister expressed hope that relations between Tehran and Doha would witness further development in various fields, stating that "the conditions are ripe to elevate the relations between the two countries, including in security, trade, and economic areas."
