The Secretary of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassem Al-Budaiwi, said, “The attacks on the Kingdom reveal Houthi insistence on crime,” indicating in an interview with Al-Arabiya that the Houthis’ crimes cannot be tolerated.
Al-Budaiwi's statements came after the terrorist Houthi militia repeated its attack against Saudi Arabia following the terrorist attack that targeted Riyadh Airport, which caused the extension of the suspension of operational operations at King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, to complete procedures for verifying the safety of the airport facilities and their operational readiness in coordination with the competent authorities.
The Gulf Cooperation Council expressed its deepest condemnation and categorical condemnation of the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militias, targeting King Khalid International Airport in the city of Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, resulting in a number of deaths.
He stressed that the Houthi militia's deliberate targeting of civilian airports and civilians requires serious international action and decisive measures to ensure its deterrence and prevent the recurrence of such attacks, which contradict the most basic humanitarian principles and international conventions.
The Secretary-General reiterated that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, affirming the Council’s absolute support for the Kingdom in all the steps it takes to maintain its security and protect its capabilities and territorial integrity.
