Shady Mohamed, former star of Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team, announced the death of his ex-wife and mother of his children, Sara Gamal El-Din, inside a hospital in New Cairo, while the public prosecution has begun an investigation into a complaint accusing the hospital and the medical team of medical negligence leading to her death.

Mohamed mourned his ex-wife through his Instagram account yesterday, Friday, writing: "Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we shall return.. My children's mother has passed away, may God have mercy on her and grant her paradise."

Meanwhile, the New Cairo prosecution has started investigating the complaint submitted by Sara's family to clarify the circumstances of her death and determine the reasons for the deterioration of her health condition.

A team from the prosecution has moved to the hospital to conduct an inspection, and it has been decided to summon the medical team to hear their statements regarding the procedures followed with the deceased before, during, and after the surgery.

The prosecution also requested to review the complete medical file of the deceased, including reports, examinations, and analyses, in addition to reviewing the hospital's surveillance camera footage to examine the circumstances of the final hours before her death.

The deceased's family accused the hospital and the medical team of medical negligence that, according to the complaint, led to the deterioration of her health condition resulting in her death.
