Nablus - Afaq News - The Palestinian Islamic Bank, in partnership with the Nablus Municipality, organized a volunteer day at the Childhood Happiness Center affiliated with the municipality, as part of enhancing social responsibility and establishing a culture of volunteering and partnership in serving the city and its public facilities.
The activity included painting the walls, fences, and playground equipment, trimming trees, cleaning the center's facilities and yards, and planting several saplings to help provide a more beautiful and suitable environment for children, families, and visitors to the center, with the participation of bank employees from branches and offices in Nablus and municipal staff.
Commenting on this initiative, the General Manager of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, Dr. Imad Al-Saadi, stated that it aligns with the ongoing directives of the bank's Board of Directors and its social responsibility committee to instill a culture of volunteer work among bank employees and enhance our partnerships with various local community institutions to contribute to community service and development.
Al-Saadi explained that volunteer work is a fundamental pillar of the bank's approach to social responsibility, noting that the participation of bank employees in community initiatives contributes to creating a positive and tangible impact in various governorates.
Al-Saadi expressed his gratitude to the Nablus Municipality and its staff for their efforts in organizing this initiative and for their continuous cooperation with various institutions in the city, which enhances joint work and contributes to improving its reality, despite various circumstances and challenges.
For his part, Nablus City Council member Darar Touqan praised the efforts of the management and staff of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, commending the initiative that reflects the bank's interest in social responsibility and its commitment to actively participate in serving the city of Nablus and its facilities.
Touqan confirmed that the Nablus City Council, headed by Ms. Anan Al-Ateera, welcomes such initiatives and partnerships that contribute to the development and improvement of municipal facilities, especially the spaces and areas designated for children, and enhance the spirit of cooperation among various institutions to serve the city and its people.
The volunteer day also provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the bank's employees and the municipal staff, through joint work in serving one of the vital facilities that welcomes children and families, reflecting the importance of the integration of roles among institutions in supporting community initiatives and improving the overall environment in the city.
At the conclusion of the event, the director of the Childhood Happiness Center, Samah Hanoun, appreciated the efforts of the Palestinian Islamic Bank and the Nablus Municipality staff, expressing her gratitude for this initiative and the volunteer work that contributed to beautifying the center and improving its facilities, positively impacting the children, families, and visitors of the center.
