In continuation of the "Houthi attacks", the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by Houthi militias towards Khamis Mushait, in southern Saudi Arabia.
Yesterday, the Strategic Political and Defense Committee of the Mecca Defense Alliance decided, in an emergency meeting, to immediately transition to the practical implementation of joint defense commitments, and to take necessary measures to provide the agreed-upon forces and military capabilities and to expedite their deployment in the Kingdom, in accordance with the approved arrangements and national legislations of the member states, which enhances readiness, military integration, and collective capacity to confront and respond to threats.
Saudi Arabia appreciated the outcomes of the emergency meeting of the Strategic Political and Defense Committee of the Mecca Defense Alliance, which included affirming solidarity among the three countries and standing united against the heinous attacks on the Kingdom that included Mecca, Medina, civilian targets, and economic facilities.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to activate collective deterrence and to immediately transition to the practical implementation of joint defense commitments; enhancing readiness, military integration, and the capacity to confront those threats.
