The Israeli Army Targets Areas in Southern Lebanon with Artillery and Aircraft

The Israeli army continued to target areas in southern Lebanon today, Sunday, with an Israeli Merkava tank stationed in the town of Zoutar al-Sharqiya shelling the town of Arnoun.

Israeli warplanes also launched an airstrike on the outskirts of the town of Kfar Tebnit, according to the National News Agency.

The agency reported Israeli artillery shelling on the town of Bani Hayyan and the outskirts of the town of Barashit.

Israeli warplanes renewed their airstrikes for the third time, targeting several homes in the Al-Arish area located between the towns of Haris and Hadatha in the Bent Jbeil district.

Two Israeli Apache helicopters carried out two airstrikes targeting the town of Qabrikhah in the Bent Jbeil district with missiles.

This afternoon, the outskirts of the towns of Zoutar al-Sharqiya and Maifdoun were subjected to intermittent Israeli artillery shelling originating from an artillery position in Tal al-Nahas.

The ambulance team from the Student House and the Islamic Health Authority, along with the Nabatieh ambulance service, survived an airstrike carried out by an Apache helicopter on a commercial building on the main road between the towns of Maifdoun and Shoukin, while they were in the area conducting a field inspection after a previous airstrike had targeted the building less than half an hour earlier. No injuries were reported, while the two airstrikes caused damage to commercial shops and residential apartments in the targeted building.

Israeli warplanes carried out several airstrikes on the area between Haris and Hadatha.

Israeli occupation forces carried out massive explosions on the outskirts of the town of Barashit and Beit Yahoun in the district of Bint Jbeil.

An Israeli airstrike targeted the Hammam area in the town of Khyam, hitting a building that had partially been destroyed in a previous airstrike a few days ago.

An Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Mays al-Jabal.

On another note, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who belongs to the far-right, called on Sunday to annex areas of southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip currently under Israeli military control, and to "go to war" in the West Bank.

Smotrich said in a podcast for the Israeli news site "Ynet": "I would like us to annex at least the areas extending to the yellow line in Gaza (which separates areas under Hamas control from those under Israeli control), and to reach the Litani River in Lebanon, because if the war ends at the same lines it started from, what will deter the enemy from waging war again?".
