The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announces the attack on 4 ships in the Gulf

Amid escalating tensions between Iran and America, and the exchange of threats and warnings, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that four ships were attacked and caught fire in the northern Gulf.

The Revolutionary Guard said in a statement on Thursday that the ship was attacked “because it had previously sailed along an illegal route,” as he put it.

He also added that "Iranian Navy fighters, who were monitoring and pursuing four ships that had previously sailed along an illegal route, discovered them while transshipping oil in the northern part of the Gulf, and struck them all at once," which led to a fire breaking out on those ships, according to what was reported by IRNA.

The Iranian army also reported that three ships collided with mines in the Strait of Hormuz last night. He added threateningly, "The response may extend to include American bases in the region if Washington continues to encourage ships to cross the waterway littered with mines."

In addition, he considered that the US administration’s insistence “on inciting the passage of ships through the illegal corridor planted with mines increases maritime accidents day after day.”
