Tairawi Accuses Hamas of Killing 3 Children of Advisor Baha Balousha

The Director of the Palestinian General Intelligence Service, Major General Tawfiq al-Tirawi, today accused Hamas of being behind the killing of three Palestinian children in an armed attack that took place in Gaza City last December, the children being the sons of advisor Baha Balousha. Al-Tirawi stated that this attack was a heinous crime against innocent children at the hands of "the murder and crime gangs of Hamas's Executive Force." Al-Tirawi, in a "congratulatory announcement" published in local newspapers addressed to Colonel Baha Balousha, who works in the intelligence service and welcomed twin boys last night, congratulated him "on this divine gift of having twin boys." The three children, who were the sons of intelligence advisor Baha Balousha, were killed along with their driver last December when gunmen opened fire on the car that was taking them to school in the Rimal neighborhood west of Gaza City. No arrests have been made of the attackers, and Balousha is considered one of the leaders of the Fatah movement.
