Settlers Storm Kifl Haris Town Under Protection of Occupation Army

Salfit - Afaq News - Settlers stormed the town of Kifl Haris, northwest of Salfit, on Sunday evening, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, to perform Jewish rituals at the Islamic shrines within the town, which the occupation claims are Jewish.

The head of Kifl Haris Municipality, Engineer Munir Abu Yaqub, reported that the occupation forces stormed the town in large numbers, coinciding with a heavy deployment of soldiers in its streets and entrances, and set up military checkpoints on several roads, which led to their closure to citizens' movement and hindered their mobility.

Abu Yaqub added that the occupation forces closed the commercial shops and prevented citizens from entering or exiting the town, coinciding with tightened military measures and restrictions on the movement of residents, alongside the entry of settlers into the shrines.

He explained that the occupation forces evacuated the building of citizen Ahmed Zahdi from its residents and forced the families to leave their homes for several hours at dawn, according to what they were informed.

The town of Kifl Haris witnesses repeated incursions by settlers under the protection of the occupation forces to perform Jewish rituals at the three shrines, which are the Prophet Dhul-Kifl, Dhul-Nun, and Joshua bin Nun.
