Today, Monday, the President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, directed to expedite the executive procedures related to the decisions of "safe return" and "general mobilization," after completing their constitutional and legal paths, at a time when he praised what he described as the efficiency of the armed forces and their ability to regain the initiative on various fronts.

This came during a meeting chaired by Al-Alimi, with the participation of the member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Governor of Marib, Sultan Al-Aradah, and a number of governors, in the presence of Prime Minister Sha'if Al-Zandani and ministers and military and security leaders, which was dedicated to discussing the mechanisms for implementing the two decisions and the latest developments in the field situation and the tasks required during the upcoming phase.

Al-Alimi emphasized that "general mobilization" does not merely mean gathering fighters, but rather a "comprehensive national mobilization" of human, material, and moral resources, and enhancing the capacity of state institutions and the armed forces and security to perform their duties.

He also praised the response of the House of Representatives to the request to declare general mobilization and complete the constitutional path related to it, considering that this step aims to unify state institutions and their energies in facing challenges and protecting the republican system.

Regarding the decision of "safe return", Al-Alimi clarified that it includes anyone who initiates leaving the Houthis and stops fighting or working for them, according to the announced constitutional and legal guarantees and procedures.

He pointed out that the procedures also include settling the status of members of the armed forces and security and preserving their legal rights.

Al-Alimi called on Yemenis in the provinces under Houthi control not to allow their children to be sent to the front lines, emphasizing that the state views citizens in those provinces as partners in restoring state institutions, security, and stability.

On the ground, Al-Alimi praised what he described as the "firm deterrence" demonstrated by the armed forces on various fronts, specifically mentioning the air force, drone units, artillery, rocket launchers, snipers, and ground units.

According to Al-Alimi, the armed forces carried out 756 targeting operations within 72 hours on the fronts of Kitaf, Al-Buq'a, Al-Alab, Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda, Lahij, and Taiz, resulting in the death and injury of 2,316 Houthi elements, in addition to the destruction and damage of vehicles, reinforcements, missile launch platforms, and weapon depots.

He confirmed that what has been achieved in the past few days is "only the beginning," pointing out that the armed forces possess capabilities and options that will show their impact on the ground, while holding the Houthis responsible for the escalation.

The meeting listened to briefings from the Prime Minister, ministers, governors, and military and security leaders regarding the field developments, needs, and tasks required in the upcoming phase, in addition to the measures taken to implement the directives of the Leadership Council and enhance the presence of state institutions.
