The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, strongly condemned the Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia. Sharif stressed in a statement today, Friday, that his country will continue to stand by Saudi Arabia in the face of the Houthi threat. He said: "Our commitment to the Kingdom's sovereignty, territorial integrity and security is firm and unwavering."
He also indicated that the Houthi militia must stop its attacks on Saudi Arabia immediately.
In addition, he affirmed Pakistan's full support for the legitimate right of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to defend its people and protect its cities and vital infrastructure.
He praised the vigilance and professionalism of the Saudi Armed Forces and coalition forces in intercepting a number of ballistic missiles, and their tireless efforts to protect innocent lives and maintain the security of the Kingdom.
This came after the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen reported intercepting two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi militia towards the capital, Riyadh.
While the coalition forces destroyed another ballistic missile towards Khamis Mushait, southern Saudi Arabia.
