The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, made a call to the Yemeni Foreign Minister, Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba, during which they discussed the latest developments and updates in Yemen in light of the current circumstances and the rapid developments taking place in the region.

For his part, Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi affirmed the "firm and steadfast position of the GCC in supporting the Republic of Yemen, and backing everything that would preserve its security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity," as well as supporting efforts aimed at achieving security, peace, and stability, in a manner that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people for a future characterized by security, decent living, development, and prosperity.

Al-Budaiwi reiterated that the security and stability of the Republic of Yemen represent a fundamental importance for the security and stability of the GCC states and the region, emphasizing the continued support of the GCC alongside the Republic of Yemen and its people, and backing all efforts that achieve security, stability, and peace for them.

The renewed Gulf affirmation towards Yemen coincided with rapid field developments taking place in the country following the announcement by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, of the "Fajr Yemen" operation to restore what remains of Yemen's territories, confirming the government's transition from a phase of readiness to a "phase of action to restore the state."
