Trump: We are holding fruitful talks with Iran... and we will not attack it before the midterm elections

Washington - Ofoq News - US President Donald Trump said, in a post on his “Truth Social” platform, that the United States is holding fruitful talks with Iran, stressing that Washington will not launch any attack on Tehran before the midterm elections scheduled for next November 3.

Trump stressed that Iran will not possess a nuclear weapon, considering that the situation in the country is very bad, both economically and militarily.

He added that the US naval blockade on Iran continues in full force and effectiveness, noting that oil is still flowing through the Strait of Hormuz in record quantities.

Trump said that about 22 million barrels of oil passed through the Strait during one night, according to what he mentioned in his post, stressing that none of these quantities were from or destined for Iran.
