The funeral of the artist Hani Shaker to his final resting place... and the Egyptian flag covers his coffin

- The body of the late Egyptian artist Hani Shaker was carried to its final resting place, after the noon prayer on Wednesday, while his coffin was covered with the Egyptian flag and carried on the shoulders of his fans. Many artistic stars attended the funeral ceremony of the late artist, including the head of the Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt, Mustafa Kamel, and the Head of the Syndicate of Acting Professions, Ashraf Zaki.

The artist, Nadia El-Gendy, appeared alongside the wife of the late artist, Nahla Tawfiq, and many artists were keen to console her and his son Sherif, according to the pictures circulated from the funeral ceremony on social media. Many mourners carried pictures of the late Hani Shaker, and signs of emotion appeared on their faces.

The body of the deceased arrived from the French capital, Paris, to Cairo International Airport, on Tuesday, and his funeral and farewell ceremonies were held to his final resting place, in the family cemetery, on the Oasis Road, on Wednesday, and his family will receive condolences on his passing, on Thursday. The funeral of the late Hani Shaker was distinguished by the application of a special protocol to regulate the filming of the funeral by the Egyptian and Arab media, in cooperation between the organizing body, the Photographers Division of the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate, and the Syndicates of the Musical Professions and the Acting Professions in Egypt.

The family of the late artist announced the news of his death (at the age of 74) on May 3, after a major health crisis, which he had suffered since the beginning of last March.
