The Defense Ministries of Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan and Turkey signed a multilateral memorandum of understanding, called the Badr Memorandum, for joint cooperation in defense manufacturing.
The memorandum between the four countries aims to have three main elements: strengthening defense capabilities, cooperation in the field of defense technical training, and areas of research and development to find solutions and industries worthy of the development of modern defenses.
In the same context, the “Badr” memorandum was named after the full moon, as the four countries complement each other with this memorandum because of its great defense and economic importance, according to Qatar News Agency.
The memorandum itself allows for the exploitation of the capabilities of each country in the field of defense manufacturing, in order to achieve cooperation, integration and development of the capabilities of defense industries, which meets the needs of allied countries.
This memorandum expands the horizons of defense cooperation between the participating countries to develop their relations in the field of defense industries, and enhance multilateral cooperation, in a way that supports security and stability and achieves common goals.
