Roses returned to find their way into the looks of the stars, but this time they were not limited to dresses or jewelry, but rather moved to the hair in the form of flower crowns and accessories inspired by nature. Between the large crowns that surround the head and the small floral details that adorn the hairstyles, this choice appeared on various artistic occasions during the year 2026.
In the latest of these looks, American actress Eva Longoria appeared with a crown of black and red artificial roses, while attending the “Día de Muertos Gala” on October 27, which was held at Universal Studios in Universal City in the American state of California. The crown coordinated with a long black sequin dress.
American actress Sarah Paulson also chose a crown of Mexican marigolds, while participating in a promotional event for the thirteenth season of the series “American Horror Story” in Mexico City. The crown came in yellow, orange, and red colors, with a black lace dress and a wide skirt, a choice linked to the connotations of these flowers in the Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico.
Months before these looks, flowers were also present on the red carpet during the 2026 Met Gala in New York City, which was held in May under the title “The Art of Fashion.” British actress Naomi Watts chose hand-painted silk flowers to decorate her hair, and coordinated them with a dress from the French house "Dior", decorated with floral applications, in a look that was clearly characterized by spring.
As for American model Karlie Kloss, she appeared in a more calm detail, as she added a purple orchid flower to her updo hairstyle, with a white dress from the French “Dior” spring 2026 haute couture collection. This look reflected a trend towards using flowers as a separate accessory that complements the hairstyle, instead of adopting a full crown.
The presence of this trend is not limited to the red carpet, as American singer Janelle Monáe previously wore striking floral accessories during her participation in the “All Things Go” music festival in New York in September 2024, where she appeared with a headpiece inspired by the shape of flowers, as part of a theatrical look in which the idea extended to other details of her clothing.
