The meeting addressed the follow-up on the implementation of the Supreme Council's decisions regarding the outcomes related to the external storage of oil and gas within the study proposal for the establishment of strategic storage areas in the Gulf, in addition to the energy strategy project for the Gulf Cooperation Council member states.

The meeting also reviewed the energy media strategy and its implementation mechanisms, the sixth petroleum media forum "Energy Media Forum", and Kuwait's proposals in the field of energy media, as well as communication with the Saudi Energy Media Association.

The meeting discussed topics related to the World Trade Organization and trade issues related to energy, the follow-up on the implementation of decisions from the previous meeting, the progress of the Petroleum and Gas Committee and the Energy Team, in addition to several supporting topics for the joint Gulf cooperation in the petroleum and energy sector.

The meeting was chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State Presidency, Aziz Ahmed Al-Manaei, with the participation of the undersecretaries of the ministries of petroleum and gas from the member states, and the Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Khalid Al-Sunaidi.

The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations to be submitted to the thirty-seventh meeting of the Petroleum Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council, scheduled to be held on October 5, 2026, in the Kingdom of Bahrain, to take appropriate decisions regarding them.
