Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Fans of Iraqi singer Rahma Riad interacted with a message she sent to her homeland, Iraq, through her official account on the “X” platform, in celebration of Iraqi National Day. Rahma wrote: “To my dear homeland, every year you are a symbol of dignity and pride, oh Iraq of history, authenticity and civilization. Today we renew our pledge of love and belonging to you, every year while Iraq stands tall in the sky of glory..
The Iraqi singer recently completed the release of her album, “Ana Al-Youm,” with 3 new songs, “Your Face I Love,” “A Little World,” and “God Doesn’t Deprive Me,” through her official YouTube channel and a number of other music listening platforms. This is nearly a year after the release of the first part of her album, while the song “Ma Fi Layl”, which she sang in partnership with Syrian singer Nassif Zaytoun, continues to top the listening lists on several platforms, since its release last April.
The joint duet between Rahma and Nassif achieved a success described as “brilliant”. It was produced by the Syrian singer, with lyrics by Fadi Morgan and composed by Hassan Issa. It was considered a reunion for the two stars, who had previously participated together in the famous talent program “Star Academy” in the 2010 season, and Zaytoun was crowned champion at that time.
