U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that Iran has "completely lost control" of the Strait of Hormuz, adding that the Iranian economy is experiencing a "total and complete free fall."
Rubio stated during a visit to Athens, "The amounts of oil currently flowing are almost equivalent to those that were transported before the start of this conflict, and thus, they have completely lost control" over the vital strait for fuel exports from the Gulf.
Rubio considered that Iran has not taken the numerous opportunities to reach an agreement with us regarding the nuclear program, noting that it spends money on terrorism, weapons, and Hezbollah.
