Tabuk Airport revealed that it received a distress call from the Fly Dubai flight to make an emergency landing at 8:44 AM, stating that the airport declared a state of emergency and readiness upon receiving the distress call from the aircraft.

The flight tracking site "Flight Radar 24" indicated that Flydubai flight (FZ 1073) heading from Dubai to Tel Aviv diverted its course over Jordanian airspace towards Saudi Arabia and sent a general emergency signal, before sending another emergency signal indicating a potential threat a few minutes later.
