Tehran - Ofoq News - Iran has renewed its adherence to its conditions in any negotiating track with the United States, stressing that all enriched nuclear materials will remain within Iranian territory, and that the resumption of negotiations is contingent on Washington taking practical steps and implementing Iranian demands.
These positions came during meetings held by Iranian officials with the Pakistani army commander, as part of diplomatic moves aimed at discussing ways to deal with the existing tension between Tehran and Washington.
During his meeting with the Pakistani Army Commander, the Secretary of the Iranian National Security Council said that all enriched nuclear materials will remain inside Iran, stressing that his country will not enter into negotiations unless the United States takes concrete steps and implements Iranian conditions.
For his part, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf stressed that “there is nothing new to say to Washington,” noting that the United States will not be able to regain Tehran’s confidence unless it implements the seven Iranian conditions.
Qalibaf accused the administration of US President Donald Trump of violating the memorandum of understanding and continuing to issue threats, considering that the lack of trust between the two countries has become deeper than it was previously.
He added that military threats and movements will not affect Iranian strategic decisions, calling on Washington to take the necessary measures to get out of what he described as the “quagmire” it has found itself in as a result of miscalculations and waging war.
The Iranian statements reflect Tehran's adherence to its positions regarding the nuclear file and the conditions for resuming dialogue, at a time when diplomatic moves continue, with Pakistan's participation, to contain the escalation and the possibility of reopening negotiation channels.
The statements did not include full details about the seven Iranian conditions or the American steps required to implement them, nor was there any confirmation of a possible date for the resumption of negotiations.
