During the past 24 hours, as part of Operation "Yemen Dawn", the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out 1,417 precise and direct targeting operations against members of the Houthi militia, using military aircraft, drones, field artillery, and launchers.
The official spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nuzaili, said in a statement on Saturday that the targets were distributed among the militia’s concentrations, reinforcements, fortified positions, sources of fire, armored vehicles, combat means, and launch sites for its drones, pointing out that the operations contributed to confusing its movements and depriving it of sending its reserves to the fronts, or achieving any tactical goal in the field.
The statement stated that the operations resulted in the neutralization of about 800 personnel, including dead and wounded, and the destruction and damage of more than 190 armored vehicles, combat crews, and means of transportation and supply, in addition to the destruction of fortifications and fire sites.
He pointed out that the armed forces units on the Eastern Front continued to comb the enemy sites and expanded the scope of control, and tightened their control over new tactical field sites.
In Taiz, the statement confirmed the failure of the continuous waves of attacks, while the warplanes targeted the Houthi militia positions and their reinforcements with concentrated strikes, inflicting heavy losses on lives and equipment.
He also stressed that the operations of the armed forces are limited to legitimate military objectives in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules, reiterating the call for the people in the areas under the control of the Houthis to protect their children from recruitment campaigns and throwing them into losing battles in defense of a project that does not represent the Yemenis and does not serve their homeland.
