The Arab artistic scene is witnessing the return of Lebanese star Fadel Shaker to singing after a long absence from his fans that lasted for more than 12 years, through the opening concert of the 2026/2027 Riyadh season at the Abu Bakr Salem Theater on Thursday and Friday, October 22-23.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, published a video containing “the arrival of the artist Fadel Shaker” in Riyadh. For his part, Fadel’s fans were eager for the Riyadh concert, which constitutes a turning point in his career and his return from the largest theaters in the region, through a video he published on his accounts, praising Turki Al-Sheikh for his efforts in the past months to make the anticipated concert a success.
The concert, called “The Return of the Absent,” will witness a large celebration that includes many singing surprises, with Fadel presenting a group of his most prominent old and new works and surprising the audience with a song presented for the first time, written and composed by Jumana Jamal, after a series of successful works between them in the past two years.
While Fadl is preparing to launch a singing tour in Saudi Arabia and the region, starting in the city of Khobar on October 30, with his son Muhammad Shaker participating with him in singing, the tour will soon include concerts in Qatar and Kuwait next November.
At the beginning of the year, Fadl had won the Favorite Song Award for the year 2025 at the Joy Awards for the song “Sahak Al-Shouq”, and his son received it on his behalf before Fadl appeared to sing it for the first time live from the Boulevard Theater in Riyadh and via several television screens responsible for broadcasting the concert to the Arab audience. As the audience asked about the surprises hidden on the night of “The Return of the Absent,” the social networking sites were full of great interactions about the concert, which appeared as tickets for the first night sold out within less than Two hours ago via the WeBook application, which prompted the organizing company Benchmark to schedule a second concert on Friday night, October 23.
