To Please Trump.. Mediators Press Iran on Its Nuclear Program

Washington - Afaq News - The Wall Street Journal reported that intermediaries are pressuring Iran to make some concessions regarding its nuclear program in order to resume ceasefire talks with the United States, after President Donald Trump rejected Tehran's offer.

Sources familiar with the talks said that the chances of convincing Iran to satisfy Trump on the issue that is most important to him are slim.

However, Iran has shown very few signs to intermediaries that it is willing to discuss its nuclear program.

According to officials in the Middle East who are in constant contact with Tehran, Iranian leaders are confident in their ability to withstand a prolonged American siege or a new round of American bombing.
