After the end of the first half, it seemed that a discussion took place between Hamdallah and Mahdioui inside the green rectangle, resulting from reproach and disagreement about the method of playing.

The matter developed into an altercation while they were leaving the stadium and before entering the dressing room corridor, as the Moroccan striker directed words and gestures to Ashraf Mahdioui. At that time, Al Mahdiwi became angry and responded to Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah in a sharp tone, before the players intervened to calm him down.

Hamdallah and Ashraf Al Mahdiwi’s teammates had ended the first 45 minutes in a goalless draw, in the matches of the tenth round of the Saudi Professional League. The Moroccan striker had previously quarreled with his former Al-Shabab teammate, Yannick Carrasco, in April 2025.

At that time, a dispute occurred between Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah and Carrasco, as each of them wanted to execute the kick.
