An Israeli official told Afaq News on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia refused to allow Israeli planes to transport stranded passengers who were on Fly Dubai flight FZ1073. An Israeli official had previously mentioned to Afaq News that Israel is considering sending a plane - whether military or civilian - to Saudi Arabia to bring back the passengers who landed there after the flight was diverted, which was originally headed to Tel Aviv.

Saudi Arabia does not have diplomatic relations with Israel, and Israeli airlines and flights heading to Israel were prohibited from entering Saudi airspace until 2022.
