Today, Saturday, Tunisians demonstrated in the capital in the latest movement by civil and political forces, to protest what was considered a “deterioration of the economic, social and human rights conditions” in the country.
This came during a national march called for by nine organizations and associations, led by the Labor Union, the Bar Association, the Human Rights League, and the Journalists Syndicate, in which 11 political parties participated.
The march, which was held under the slogan “Work, Freedom, National Dignity,” started from the central headquarters of the Labor Union, then traveled through a number of streets before reaching Habib Bourguiba Street, in the center of the capital, where the numbers of demonstrators increased.
