Netanyahu Orders Preparation of Legal File Against Erdogan.. The File Focuses on Kurds and Hamas

Tel Aviv - Afaq News - The Israeli website i24NEWS reported on Sunday evening that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has directed a joint inter-ministerial team and the director of the International Law Department at the Israeli Ministry of Justice to prepare a comprehensive legal file against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to the report, the file being prepared focuses on accusations related to the Turkish government's policies towards the Kurds, along with what Israel describes as Ankara's relationship with Hamas and its financial support for the movement.

The Israeli move comes in the wake of a legal escalation between Ankara and Tel Aviv, after Erdoğan previously announced that he had acted through Interpol in an attempt to issue a red notice against Netanyahu, linked to Turkish legal proceedings related to Israeli operations in the region.

According to i24NEWS, Israel is considering the possibility of using the file in an international legal process, including the potential to resort to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, either directly or through another country.
