The Magellan unit begins a military operation in Hebron and Halhul... a tight siege and persecution

Hebron - Ofoq News - The Israeli occupation forces pushed the “Magellan” unit of the Special Forces to the Hebron area, coinciding with the imposition of a strict siege on Hebron and Halhul, and the intensification of military operations and security pursuits in the southern West Bank.

According to what was reported by the Hebrew newspaper “Maariv”, these movements come after the shooting attack that took place on Friday morning near Hebron, which resulted in the death of an Israeli soldier and the wounding of five others, while the perpetrators of the operation were killed by bullets from Israeli forces.

The occupation forces announced the imposition of a complete security cordon on Hebron, expanding the measures to include Halhul, preventing entry into and exit from the area, in addition to carrying out searches, arrests, and prosecuting people suspected of being linked to the operation.

The procedures also include surveys of the homes of the perpetrators of the attack, amid Israeli fears of other attacks, while investigations continue to determine whether the two perpetrators moved alone or within a broader group.
