Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati told Al Arabiya/Al Hadath on Wednesday that the relations between the two leaderships and the Saudi and Egyptian peoples are very distinguished.

The minister added that relations with Saudi Arabia are very excellent at all levels.

Earlier Wednesday, the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, received a written message to King Salman bin Abdulaziz from the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

The message was delivered to the Crown Prince, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdel Ati, at the Royal Court at Al-Yamama Palace in Riyadh.

The Saudi Crown Prince and the Egyptian Foreign Minister discussed bilateral relations and opportunities to enhance them, in addition to discussing regional developments and coordinating efforts regarding them.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi also confirmed earlier Wednesday that the Egyptian military effort is limited to defending the lands of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its borders, stressing that this effort does not in any way include launching any attack on Yemen.

During the Egypt Forum 2026 session, Sisi explained that Arab national security is indivisible, and that the stability of the brothers in the Gulf is linked to Egyptian national security, stressing that Egypt will defend the lands of any other Arab country if asked to do so.

The Egyptian President pointed out that Egypt's standing alongside the Gulf states comes as a natural extension of the concept of joint Arab national security, stressing that the Egyptian military move does not extend beyond the borders of Egypt or the borders of the sister countries whose security and stability Cairo is keen on.
