389 demolitions and confiscations in the West Bank and Jerusalem since the beginning of 2026

Bethlehem - Ofoq News - The Good Shepherd Collective announced, in a press release, that Israeli demolition operations have caused the displacement of 2,019 Palestinians since the beginning of this year, including 931 children. The Israeli authorities also demolished or seized 1,358 facilities, in 389 incidents.

Although the number of accidents this year was lower compared to the same period in 2025, the numbers of people who lost their homes were greater. Displacement rates increased by 13%, while the number of accidents decreased by 12%. The number of facilities that were demolished remained almost constant, with a slight decrease of 4%.

For comparison, the same period in 2024 witnessed the displacement of 3,532 Palestinians and the demolition of 1,384 facilities. This data is limited to the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and does not include the widespread demolitions in the Negev region, or the destruction that occurred in the Gaza Strip.
