A British traveler embarks on an exciting adventure in one of Oman's most beautiful valleys

In an impressive video clip, British traveler Amelia German appeared sliding down a “natural water slide” that ended in one of the hidden pools in the middle of Wadi Hawar, which is considered one of the most beautiful valleys in the Sultanate of Oman. Wadi Hawar is located within the scope of Wadi Bani Khalid, located in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, about 200 kilometers from the capital, Muscat.

German, who lives in Oman, explained in an interview with the Ofoq News website in Arabic, that she wanted to go on an adventurous hiking expedition in “one of the most exciting valleys in the country,” as she described it. She pointed out that she was able to reach this “hidden gem” thanks to a local tour guide named Mohammed, who knows the terrain of the region well.

However, the journey was not easy, as reaching such pristine sites requires good physical fitness, in addition to basic skills in swimming and walking in nature. German said: “There are caves and narrow spaces that must be crawled or slid across, in addition to steep areas that require attention and caution at every step.”

Germaine describes her experience of sliding on the valley rocks and swimming in the natural pool as a mixture of excitement and calm at the same time.
