A state of controversy arose after the departure of Egyptian music distributor Tareq Tawakkol, and accusations were directed at Egyptian singer Rami Sabry of ignoring him and affecting his psychological state in his last days, even though he was one of his closest friends.
This accusation was directed by Rami Sabry towards a friend of the music distributor Tariq Tawakkol, in response to the words that Rami Sabry said about his late colleague, after he mourned him with touching words, confirming that one of the closest friends in his artistic career had passed away.
But the accusation was found to be denied by Rami Sabry, who did not comment, after the lyric poet Mohamed Atef decided to testify before he was admitted to the hospital for surgery.
Atef wrote on his official Facebook account saying that he was about to undergo open-heart surgery, so he wanted to give a true testimony that Rami Sabry is one of the purest, most chivalrous and generous people. He added that the distributor, Tariq Tawakkol, worked with him until the last album.
Atef criticized the people who accused Rami Sabry of causing the death of Tariq Tawakkol because he refused to lend him money or because he blocked him.
He wrote: “I am going into open-heart surgery and in the hands of God.. but it is a true testimony.. Rami Sabry is the cleanest, most brilliant, and most generous of people.. and the distributor Tariq Tawakkol, may God have mercy on him, is with him until the last album, and among them is a song for me personally, and we are all ages and we are all guests in the world.”
He continued: "The people who accuse Rami Sabry of being the reason for Tariq's death because he refused to give him a loan and blocked him... Fear God... Have mercy on the dead and the living without depravity and filth... Neither Tariq had the morals of the meddling debtor... nor did Rami Sabry have these morals."
Thus, the Egyptian poet put an end to the controversy that had been raised and the accusations against Rami Sabry, and the latter preferred to remain silent and not respond or comment on them, but he chose to go to the funeral of the late Tariq Tawakkol, which was held on Monday evening in Cairo, in order to console his family.
