The head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, pledged to move forward with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Operation “Yemen Dawn” to end what he described as the “terrorist threat” of the Houthi group, and restore Yemeni state institutions “no matter the sacrifices it costs.”
This came the day after a missile attack launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia on King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, killing 12 civilians and wounding more than 300 others.
Al-Alimi said in a blog post on the “X” platform on Sunday that the security of Saudi Arabia, the security of Yemen, and the interests of their people are interconnected, and he considered that any attack on the Kingdom is an attack on the security of Yemen, its interests, and the future of its generations.
The head of the Yemeni Leadership Council renewed his country's solidarity with the Kingdom as a result of this cowardly Houthi terrorist attack, which he said "reflects the terrorist nature that governs the militias' behavior and their disregard for the lives of civilians and the interests of the Yemeni people."
He renewed his determination to move forward with Operation “Yemen Dawn” to end the terrorist threat and restore state institutions, whatever the sacrifices it may cost.
He praised the fraternal positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its continued support for the Yemeni economy, and its efforts to alleviate human suffering, including the recent support for the state’s general budget, and the facilities announced to correct the conditions of Yemeni residents on its territory.
