Last week, the Yemeni government forces announced the start of a large-scale attack to restore areas controlled by the Houthis, with the support of the Saudi-led coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen.

The Houthi militias are launching one of their most violent and widespread military attacks on the city of Taiz, in an attempt to tighten the siege and control it, through simultaneous attacks on the western, eastern and southern fronts, and sending in large human and military reinforcements.

Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath correspondent reported that violent clashes were taking place in the vicinity of the strategic Jabal Han, west of Taiz, where government forces thwarted successive Houthi attacks within 24 hours, despite bombarding the mountain with hundreds of shells.
