Balqis Fathi has a striking summer look in her new clip, and her fashion coordinator reveals the scenes

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Artist Balqis Fathi released a video clip for her new song, “Ya Matashna,” in which she appeared with a group of summer looks that combined simplicity and boldness, under the supervision of Lebanese fashion stylist Cedric Haddad. The clip reflects the spirit of summer 2025 with all its striking trends, from bright colors and renewed patterns, to scarf and accessories arrangements that completed the looks in a modern and elegant style.

In an exclusive interview with the Ofoq News website in Arabic, Haddad revealed the behind-the-scenes of coordinating these looks. Haddad pointed out that choosing the scarf fashion was not just to keep up with the popular fashion trends this summer, but also because it suits the shape of Balqis’s face, especially with her short haircut, which allows for a variety of ways to style scarves, whether in the style of headbands or bandanas, which added a lively and youthful touch to the looks.

Among Haddad's favorite looks, those that bore the signature of Dolce & Gabbana stand out, where the scarf was tied in the front in a way that added an elegant and summer touch, which he considered new and different for Balqis. In terms of makeup, the focus was on a shiny and soft look, with a thin, more elongated eyeliner than usual, which added a radiance that was consistent with her natural skin tone and shine.

Regarding jewelry, Haddad explained that the choice fell on large, prominent pieces that blended seamlessly with the general character of the look, in addition to a group of bracelets that enhanced the modern and feminine character. Haddad also pointed out that coordinating the costumes in the clips differs in nature from daily looks or those for the red carpet, where a clear brief is presented by the creative director, and the work team must adhere to it in order to serve the story, location, lighting, and décor.

He pointed out that for this reason, dresses or pieces are sometimes used that may not be appropriate for other occasions, but are ideal within the context of the photographed work.
