“Burgundy” rejects temporary fashion rules and creates its own path with the stars

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - “Burgundy red” and its dark shades continue to impose its presence for the second year in a row, contrary to expectations and fashion trends at the beginning of the season. Despite the strong competition from other colors, this color maintained its position, and Arab and international stars adopted it in various looks, whether on the red carpet, at parties, and even in daily looks.

Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur caught attention with a burgundy look while attending a charity dinner to support medical research at the Museum of Islamic Art in the Qatari capital, Doha, where she appeared in a style different from her sports looks, wearing a dress from the brand “Etoile La Boutique” with a one-shoulder cut, and a narrow skirt made of shiny fabric, which she coordinated with a black clutch bag and open high-heeled shoes. The young Egyptian actress, Yasmine El Abd, chose the color burgundy while attending the opening ceremony of the Cairo Film Festival, where she shined in a dress that combined more than one story in one design, with exposed shoulders on one side, a scarf covering the other side, and a skirt with soft pleats at the waist, which she coordinated with a clutch bag and golden open shoes.

The burgundy color also accompanied the Lebanese artist Haifa Wehbe during her concert in the Jordanian capital, Amman, where she wore a dress studded with bright sequins, specially designed for her by the Lebanese designer Rami Salmoun. It was distinguished by a tight cut, long sleeves, and a wide neckline, and she completed it with dangling diamond earrings. Away from the red carpet and parties, Lebanese fashion blogger Karen Wazen chose this color to attend the “Oribella x Alta Beauty” party, which was held at the Mall of the Emirates in the presence of the American model of Palestinian origin, Bella Hadid.

She adopted a look consisting of a wide jacket and a narrow skirt to the ankle with shiny fabric from the brand “The Frankie Shop”. She completed the look with sunglasses from her own brand, and shoes from her sister brand “Andrea Wazen” in the same color. In turn, Turkish actress Handa Erçel attended a beauty event with a burgundy look consisting of a classic short jacket with black buttons in the front, and a short, tight skirt, which she coordinated with transparent stockings and high “boots” that went above the knees.

In a photo session held in the French capital, Paris, Egyptian actress Hana El Zahed appeared in a burgundy and black checkered dress, characterized by wide sleeves and a narrow knee-length skirt, with a small horizontal slit that separated the two parts of the design.
