"Customs": Seizing 8000 liters of smuggled fuel in Bethlehem Governorate

Ramallah - Afaq News - As part of the joint security work with the preventive security, the customs control apparatus managed, in the context of its ongoing efforts to combat fuel smuggling and protect the national economy, today, Saturday, in the Bethlehem Governorate, to seize a tanker loaded with approximately (8000) liters of smuggled fuel.

The apparatus confirmed in a statement that the seized items have been retained, and the necessary legal procedures are underway according to the regulations, in preparation for referring the file to the relevant authorities to take the legal measures.

The apparatus also emphasized the continuation of its monitoring campaigns in cooperation with the security institution and the relevant authorities to pursue fuel smugglers and anyone attempting to harm the national economy.
