Following the Warning from the Shin Bet Chief.. Netanyahu Demands an Immediate Emergency Plan

Tel Aviv - Afaq News - Warnings from the head of the Israeli Security Agency "Shabak", David Zini, regarding the presence of armed organizations in the Negev have reached the Israeli government table, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanded answers and directed Shabak to prepare a comprehensive report and a plan to stop this phenomenon.

The possibility of what has been described as a "weapon coup within Israel" was raised during the government session yesterday, Tuesday, following Zini's warning in the ministerial council about the existence of military infrastructures and attempts to form battalions in the Bedouin communities in the Negev.

Netanyahu requested Shabak to provide a comprehensive report on the phenomenon and to develop a plan to stop it, according to what was revealed by the newspaper "Hayom". Netanyahu is expected to hold a special session in the coming days to discuss the issue.

In parallel, Knesset member Almog Cohen is working to advance a legal memorandum aimed at allowing a national task force, which also includes the Israeli army, to operate in the Bedouin community to confront the quantities of weapons present in some gatherings.

For his part, Roi Kahlon, head of the Anti-Crime Authority in the Arab community affiliated with the Prime Minister's Office, wrote this morning: "When I look at the growing power of crime organizations, I fear that we are developing an internal version of the same trap."

He added: "We know that criminal entities possess military-grade weaponry, including Lao missiles, Mag machine guns, Claymore mines, and explosive drones."

Kahlon warned against assuming that the use of these weapons for criminal purposes limits their danger, stating: "The fact that they are currently fighting for money and control does not guarantee that we will know against whom they will direct their weapons tomorrow."
