In one word... Mourinho sends the strongest warning to Vinicius

- Jose Mourinho said that “Only the Real Madrid logo is untouchable,” stressing that there is no guaranteed place for any player in the team’s squad, when he was asked during a press conference, on Tuesday, whether Vinicius Junior had a special place with the club compared to his colleagues. The Portuguese coach responded, saying: “The only thing that is untouchable is the logo. I do not like this concept of the untouchable player.”

He added: "What makes players untouchable is not the status, the badge, or the number of years he spent at the club, nor even the amount he was paid for. What makes a player untouchable is his performance on the field." He continued: "As I said recently, I am not a stubborn coach. There are coaches who cling to a certain idea and live or die because of it. I am not that type. I am always open to analysis, understanding things, and looking for what is best for the team."

He continued: “I cannot give you any information about whether Yann Diomande (active in the same position as Vinicius) will participate in the RB Leipzig match, but I can tell you that Vinicius will play tomorrow. Diomande does not know whether he will play tomorrow (Wednesday) or not.” The Brazilian player was subjected to a 4-match suspension in local competitions by the Disciplinary Committee of the Spanish Football Federation after pulling the hair of a Villarreal player and objecting to the decision to expel him.

Ivorian winger Yann Diomandi participated in the Vinicius position, and scored a goal in the last match against Sevilla, last Sunday. The "Merengue" team will face its counterpart, RB Leipzig, at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium, next Wednesday, in the third round of the Champions League (Champions League).
