Hebron - Afaq News - The Chairman of the Board of the Palestinian Investment Fund, Iyad Joudah, received Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa and a number of ministers during their visit to the Al-Rabi'a Feed Factory in Hebron Governorate, as part of a tour to review economic and developmental projects in the governorate.
The Chairman of the Board of the Palestine Industrial Investment Company, Abdul Hakim Faqih, provided a general explanation about the factory and its production lines.
The Al-Rabi'a Feed Factory, which was established in partnership between the Palestinian Investment Fund and the Palestine Industrial Investment Company, is one of the strategic projects aimed at enhancing national production, replacing imported products with local ones, and reducing dependence on feed imports, which contributes to lowering the import bill by about $67.9 million annually, supporting farmers and livestock breeders, and enhancing the Palestinian economy's production capacity.
The factory's production capacity is 50,000 tons annually, while its total production since the start of operations has reached about 35,000 tons.
The project has also contributed to providing direct and indirect job opportunities and strengthening partnerships with the private sector.
