Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, sent a message on the occasion of "Government Week" in Iran, in which he stressed a number of matters, the most important of which is "preventing the commission of any act that harms social harmony." The following is the full text of the letter, according to what was reported by the official Iranian News Agency: The first week of Shahrivar (the sixth Iranian month, from August 23 to September 22) of each year is an occasion to address the services of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

This year, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran is proud that the days of “Government Week” coincide with the auspicious and blessed birth days of the two great babies born in the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal, may God’s prayers and peace be upon them and their families. I take this opportunity to extend my congratulations and expressions of appreciation and praise to all active employees and managers in government agencies, especially the honest and loyal President of the Republic in the fourteenth government.

This appreciation comes in particular for the worthy measures and efforts that were made, despite the restrictions and various conspiracies of the American-Zionist enemy and the tightening of sanctions and blockades, throughout the third imposed war and its aftermath, in the process of securing the goods and various services that the people need, restoring the damaged vital points, and managing the energy file. It is also worth commemorating the memory of the two martyred Presidents of the Republic (Rajai and Raisi), the martyred Prime Minister (Bahner), and the martyred ministers, directors, and employees in the various government eras, most notably the great, martyred leader who assumed the Presidency of the Republic for nearly two terms, asking God Almighty to grant them all the highest ranks and divine providence.

The opportunity to serve the people and achieve the goals of the Islamic Republic is a valuable blessing that must be preserved and nurtured. At the current stage and the sensitive and complex circumstances facing efforts to achieve a “more powerful Iran,” one of the things necessary to achieve this goal, in addition to diligent work and continuous initiative, is to demonstrate and narrate the ability and strength of Iran and its dear people.

Weakness, deficiency, and scarcity do not need to be narrated or shed light on; Rather, it requires planning and diligent work to address and solve problems. Honest expression of one's weaknesses at a time when the enemy needs to raise his morale is sometimes of great help to him, and may raise anxiety in the hearts of friends and followers and leave them in a state of bewilderment and confusion.

Yes, when the listeners to these sincere expressions are only the people and those loyal to us, the problem becomes less and less. As for strength, ability, and positive points, according to the Qur’anic teaching: “But by the grace of your Lord, speak,” they need to be narrated, highlighted, and shed light.

The dear people of Iran, who have demonstrated their authenticity and true essence during the past six months in various manifestations of jihad against the enemy, presence in the squares, harmony, solidarity and keeping pace, are worthy and deserving to touch and feel the services of the authorities and responsible agencies of the Islamic Republic, as they proceed on the path of reaching the desired level of this sacred regime and the high status of this rising people. What will be explained below is certainly at the heart of the government's service programmes, or tops the list of its objectives, and mentioning it in this context is merely a reminder.

And from that; It is necessary to pay serious attention to a series of economic and living challenges such as inflation, unemployment, price management and the market for goods and services, and to pay special attention to some other elements in the economic field such as growth, increasing investment and directing it towards useful and desired paths, booming production, gradually dropping the dollar from the platform of influence and centrality of the role, and ultimately making the set of “economy of resistance” policies the main focus. The main key in this field to solve all these matters lies in the title: the greatest and primary dependence on local production.

Of course, providing a sufficient amount of general and specialized goods is an imperative necessity, and accordingly, in cases where local production is not sufficiently available, imports must be used correctly and wisely. It is natural that encouraging production, while managing imports and prices at the same time, could lead to a situation in which the dark spots that appear on the country's economy gradually shrink, until they disappear completely.

In this arena, although the enemy’s behavior during and after the war is not ineffective, more intelligent management of the components of this arena, seeking help in some cases from the general public and in other cases from specialists and technologists, and activating modern energies and capabilities, would lead the country towards improving matters, reconstruction and prosperity. The arch enemy of this people is trying to suggest that the path of reconstruction and progress passes through subordination to them and their illegitimate dictates and demands. While a review of what this enemy inflicted on the country and its resources in the past era, and even long years before the Islamic Revolution, proves exactly the opposite.

Among other important questions and issues: Applying technologies and innovations proposed by young elites. Taking timely advantage of this advantage, and abandoning normal contexts and familiar customs regarding a given subject, sometimes achieves qualitative and influential leaps in the path of the country’s development and progress.

This matter can be imagined in the various tributaries and industries of power, whether in agriculture, industry, culture, education, or in social affairs and relations. Among the country's fundamental issues, which must always remain at the center of attention of the government and all officials and components of government, is the commitment to unity and the preservation of social harmony.

Any action in any of the major fields; Cultural, social, political, security and economic, it must be done taking into account the annex on social harmony. Some measures that may apparently have some supporters among a segment of the country, if they lack this annex, or if they were neglected in the work of what was approved as an annex to it, could cause harm to those segments themselves and to others.

There is no doubt that any talk inspires despair and weakens national and public motivations, and any kind of imaginary polarization such as; War or negotiations, harmony or extremism, bargaining or calling for war, which in the past caused direct or indirect losses to our dear people, can from now on also leave the same effect. Accordingly, I firmly declare that committing any act that is at the expense of or harmful to social harmony is prohibited.

Among other important issues: Supra-strategic interest in the issue of culture, education and upbringing. The expression “suprastrategic” means that the organization of other strategies must be developed taking this issue into account.

In this regard, attention to the segments that are considered a source for spreading a positive and constructive culture is of particular importance. Such as teachers in the education sector, universities, and seminaries, as well as nurses and doctors who have made themselves available to perform their duties in non-private institutions. Paying attention to the role of housewives who instill in the fever of homes the smallest details and details of the inscriptions of the beautiful culture that is desired for the future in the souls of all the people of this country bears the same importance.

It is hoped that working on these points and all the useful issues included, thank God, in the list of government programs, will push our dear country towards a “more powerful Iran,” and will make those working on this path worthy of the special care of our Master (Imam Mahdi), may God Almighty hasten his honorable appearance and his prayers for goodness, blessings and guidance.
