Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - Hebrew sources reported on Sunday that Benjamin Netanyahu's government approved, during its meeting on Sunday, a reduction of 2.6 billion shekels from the ministries' budgets, for the benefit of the occupation army.
The sources reported that the Netanyahu government approved an increase in the Israeli army's budget by 2.6 billion shekels (about 840 million dollars) to finance urgent military purchases.
For some time now, Netanyahu has been claiming that Israel may be subjected to attacks ahead of the general elections on October 27, which opposition leaders considered to be electoral propaganda through intimidation.
This decision comes at a time when the occupation’s aggression has ravaged the region since October 2023, as it continues a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip and aggression against the West Bank, and launched two wars against Lebanon and Iran and air raids on Yemen, in addition to almost daily ground incursions into Syria.
