Ramallah - Afaq News - An Israeli settler was lightly injured in the head today, Thursday, during his attempt to assault Palestinians near the Ma'oz Tsur settlement in the Benjamin area of the West Bank, coinciding with the olive harvest season.
According to the narrative of the Benjamin settlement council, three Palestinians were picking olives in grazing lands in the area when settlers arrived and demanded they leave, leading to a scuffle and exchange of stone-throwing.
The council claimed that one of the Palestinians attempted to seize a weapon from a farm owner, while the latter fired shots into the air before forces from the occupation army arrived at the scene.
This incident comes amid a rise in assaults on Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season, with repeated Palestinian complaints about attempts to prevent them from accessing their lands and seizing their crops.
