Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - Israeli Security Minister Yisrael Katz said that Israel is monitoring attempts by its opponents, led by Iran and its affiliates, to carry out attacks that would affect the results of the Israeli elections.
Katz's statements came on Tuesday during the inauguration ceremony of the Etzel Museum and the Altalena ship's cannon, where he called for adhering to what he described as a "position of unity," warning that internal political differences should not affect confronting security threats.
He added that Israeli security decisions will be made according to security needs, apart from any other considerations, threatening anyone who attacks Israel, before or after the elections, or targets Israeli soldiers or civilians, to pay “the highest price.”
Katz's statements come in light of the escalation of Israeli warnings regarding what Tel Aviv describes as Iranian threats, as the electoral elections in Israel approach.
