Tel Aviv - Afaq News - Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not convey to him during their meeting last night any information resembling what he described as the "airplane incident" that occurred this morning.
Lapid said in a statement on Wednesday evening: "Let me clarify. Nothing resembling the airplane incident that occurred this morning was presented in the security briefing with the Prime Minister last night. It does not resemble it, nor does it mention it, not even from afar."
He added: "All this campaign that the media is currently waging only proves what has been clear since yesterday, which is that they are once again trying to practice cheap politics at the expense of Israel's security. They are a reckless group."
Lapid's statements come in the wake of the security briefing he received from Netanyahu last night, during which he said that what was discussed did not include any reference to the development that occurred this morning.
