Egyptian actor Mohamed Ramadan was injured on Thursday while filming one of the scenes of his new series “Ashmawy,” explaining that the injury occurred during a fight scene with a tiger.
Ramadan indicated that he took a leave of absence from filming the series for two days, before returning to complete the work, without clarifying the nature of the injury or its details.
He posted on his Instagram account a picture from behind the scenes of filming the series in which the tiger appeared, and wrote: “Today, while filming Ashmawi, I got injured while filming the scene of me fighting with the tiger,” adding: “Praise be to God, it is simple, only two days off from filming, and I will return to continue, God willing.”

The injury came hours after Mohamed Ramadan once again promoted his new series, which he indicated would be shown during the 2027 Ramadan drama season, as he published a behind-the-scenes video clip of his preparation for the series, saying: “Ashmawy has arrived, filmed by Ashmawy.”
“Ashmawy” represents Ramadan’s latest steps to return to television drama, after his absence from the Ramadan competition since the series “Jaafar Al-Omda,” which was shown in 2023 and achieved a remarkable audience presence.
Note that during his television career, he presented a number of series that achieved popular popularity, including “Ibn Halal” in 2014, “The Legend” in 2016, “Eagle of Upper Egypt” in 2018, “The Prince” in 2020, “Moussa” in 2021, “Al-Mishwar” in 2022, and all the way to “Jaafar Al-Omda.”
During his absence from the Ramadan drama, Ramadan continued his activity in cinema and singing. He also indicated in previous statements his focus on his cinematic projects, most notably the film “Lion.”
