On the sidelines of the match, Al-Fateh fans raised a giant banner in the stands, on which was written the phrase: “We are all sacrificed for you, my homeland,” in a supportive message to the Kingdom.

Dory “Roshen” account on the “X” platform published a picture of a banner, commenting: “Behind the glory of your banner, we all sacrifice for you, my homeland.” While the Al-Fateh account commented, saying: “A homeland that we will sacrifice with our lives and blood.”

This behavior by Al-Fatah supporters came at a time when infrastructure, facilities and airports in Saudi Arabia were being attacked by the Yemeni Houthi group. Players in the Saudi League have previously expressed their solidarity with the Kingdom, including Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah, Al-Taawoun striker, and Merih Demiral, Al-Ahly defender.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo was also seen carrying the Saudi scarf on the sidelines of celebrating Al-Nasr’s victory.
