The preachers of the Grand Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina unanimously agreed that the attacks by the Houthi terrorist group, which targeted the Kingdom’s airports and claimed the lives of a number of innocent people, are clear terrorism and a blatant violation of human rights.

The imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Juhani, considered that what this “corrupt group” did; The shedding of blood by targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, and attacking travelers, including Umrah pilgrims and innocent civilians, is a sinful crime, a blatant violation of the sanctity of souls, and a cowardly terrorist act that is not justified by religion or cause.

Al-Juhani stressed, during the Friday sermon in the Grand Mosque, that assaulting innocent people is considered corruption on earth, and that it falls within the framework of reprehensible and rejected acts, praying to God to protect the kingdom from the plots of plotters, the envy of the envious, and the injustice of the oppressors, and to perpetuate the blessing of security and stability upon it.

In parallel; Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Hudhaifi, the imam and preacher of the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, condemned the targeting of Mecca and Medina by the terrorist Houthi group and its criminal group, and the targeting of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, and the loss of lives, intimidation of the safe, and killing of visitors and pilgrims. He described these practices as “great crimes and crimes” that are denounced by Islamic law, pure minds, and a healthy nature. International laws are the greatest condemnation.

He considered the recent Houthi steps to be "desperate attempts and wretched actions", and that history has proven them in the book of the people of transgression and corruption, and the Qur'an recorded their bad aggression against their ancestors, the elephant owners, and heralded the severity of their defeat and loss.

This comes as the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars, Scholarly Research and Fatwa, Sheikh Dr. Saleh Al-Fawzan, reiterated that the Houthi militia is an “evil gang,” against the backdrop of its repeated attacks against civilian sites. Al-Fawzan said that the terrorist Houthi militia’s targeting of civilian facilities, and the loss of innocent lives, including those who visit the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, is one of the greatest crimes for which God Almighty has threatened painful punishment. At the same time, he added, "Throughout history, no one has followed the path of this criminal gang, targeting the holy sites and targeting those who visit his Sacred House, except that his fate was death and a dire consequence."

In the same context, the spokesman for the Saudi-led Legitimacy Support Coalition, Major General Turki al-Maliki, counted the terrorist Houthi militia’s attacks on the Kingdom’s airports at 20 attacks on King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, since October 1, causing 17 deaths and more than 330 injuries, while a specific operation was carried out in response to the attacks against airports and navigation.

Al-Maliki pointed out in a statement yesterday that the terrorist Houthi militia attempted to target dozens of airports, oil facilities and ports in the Kingdom. In total, 19 deaths and 364 injuries resulted from targeting civilian airports in Saudi Arabia, in the latest official toll of victims of the “Houthi aggression.”

The international community stood in the face of the rogue Houthi practices, as members of the UN Security Council condemned, in the strongest terms, the continuing and escalating attacks launched by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia, including attacks that targeted civil aviation and energy infrastructure, and resulted in the death and injury of civilians.

A statement issued by the President of the Council included an emphasis that what the Houthi group is carrying out is considered “reckless strikes,” in reference to those that targeted King Khalid International Airport” on October 10 and 11, which caused deaths and injuries, in addition to the multiple strikes that targeted other airports and Saudi Aramco facilities.

International corridors did not deviate from the statement issued by the Security Council, as Council members renewed their condemnation in the strongest terms of the continued Houthi attacks and threats against commercial navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, stressing the importance of preserving the safety of commercial ships and their crews.
