Tel Aviv - Ofaq News - The Magistrate Court in Petah Tikva ordered the release to house arrest of settlers suspected of participating in the violent attacks that occurred yesterday in the village of Jalud.
The police had arrested three suspects in connection with the events, while one remained in custody.
The unit responsible for the investigation submitted a request to postpone the implementation of the release decision, but the Central Court in Lod rejected the appeal submitted by the unit today, Wednesday, and it is expected that the detainees will be released to house arrest.
The court indicated in its decision that the mere presence of the detainees at the location at the time of the events does not, in itself, constitute sufficient evidence for the court.
